Customer Self-Sufficiency

Using numerous tools and wizards that simplify setup and allow customizations, customers are free to tailor IDIT™ to almost any imaginable insurance process or business model. IDIT™ has central architecture that enables version promotion which is built-in into the setup tools. In addition to existing wizards and setup tools, IDIT continuously invests in improving and developing new tools for non-programmable and programmable setup activities.  Non-programmable activities are accessed and implemented using a sophisticated yet friendly set of tools such as:

Product Setup Functionality


IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Create new products based on existing assets and existing flows (and add additional metadata fields & validation criteria)
  • Update existing products (premiums, cover, assets)
  • Maintain product workflows
  • Maintain product renewal rules
  • Maintain product underwriting criteria
  • Maintain product commission schemes (including agent, co-insurer and re-insurer splits)
  • Maintain product payment methods and their influence on the policy
  • Maintain a product currencies list
  • Add up to 5 attributes to an asset type and maintain them



Policy Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Create and update workflows per policy administration actions (e.g. renewal, endorsement)
  • Maintain payment scheduler behavior (additional premium collected in one payment, split by remaining installments, etc.)
  • Maintain administration costs per policy administration actions
  • Maintain a list of policy action reasons and build workflows based on actions and endorsement reasons.
  • Maintain policy administration authorizations and levels of approval (e.g. first signature, second signature)



Customer Relationship Management Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain contact affinities and link between contacts and their affinities

Insurance Accounting Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain the links between policy processes and accounting transactions
  • Maintain the links between transactions and journals
  • Maintain the links between IDIT™  accounting transactions and the company GL
  • Maintain the links of system currencies and their exchange rate types (USD, USD NATO, etc.)
  • Maintain a list of manual transactions
  • Maintain a list of possible payment terms and their behavior



Claim Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain a list of claim contact roles
  • Handle claim contact roles, their relationships and behavior
  • Maintain the structure of the claim damage tree and the relation between the tree and claim damage codes
  • Set the claim damage tree according to the relevant policy asset type
  • Maintain the relationship between cover types and damage codes (via perils)
  • Maintain the template structure (list of lines) used both for claim payments and for claim reserves
  • Ensure use of the correct templates for claim payments and the rules that control them 
  • Maintain default reserves that can be set by rules
  • Maintain claim irregularities
  • Maintain the claim payment state machine (first signature, second signature, etc.)
  • Maintain the claims workflow (based on damage, status and product)



Workflow Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain actions – add/update/delete action and build action workflows
  • Maintain manual actions – build a manual action tree – add/update/remove an action in the manual action tree
  • Maintain events – add/update/delete event/follow-up details, update manual event details: expert details & the relevant context
  • Maintain documents – add/update/delete document types and set cataloging details for incoming documents
  • Maintain queues – add/update/delete queues: queue general details, queue handling types, queue follow-up assignment

Documents Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain outgoing document templates
  • Link templates per document type and language and associate overlays to templates per sub-agent
  • Download tags for the Template Creator – tag tree for the ODTE tool (Outgoing Document Template Editor)
  • Refresh all templates – refresh all system templates in one click
  • Maintain document headers/footers – add/update overlays per sub-agent and language
  • Link documents to any workflow



Security Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Maintain system users  – add/update user details: password, profiles, roles, privileges, position in company hierarchy
  • Maintain system roles – add/update role privileges
  • Maintain user privileges – add/update privileges
  • Maintain user profiles – add/update profile details: intermediary channels, brand company list
  • Update general defaults: maximum amount of login failures and password structure



General Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Setup all the reference tables in IDIT™ which are not covered by a specific setup wizard. The fields are formatted by type, and can be configured for validation,  formatting etc. using the Metadata Manager
  • A Security Module enables administrators to decide which activities can be performed for each table: what is permitted to add, remove or update per a given record or set of records



Interfaces Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to control:

  • Service call timeout changes
  • Service call number of retries
  • Service server name and port
  • Service location of schema files
  • Mapping changes & additions to fields already in the schema (using XSLT changes)



GUI Setup Functionality

 

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to control:

  • Change page step order / appearance
  • Change conditional page order / appearance
  • Modify screen fields (remove or add existing attributes only)
  • Maintain validation types in the system
  • Maintain all the attributes of a field in a screen: label, tooltip, help per field, formatting, and relevant validation criteria

 


Programmable Activities

IDIT™ provides users with the ability to:

  • Modify activities requiring change in the data model
  • Modify activities requiring complex logic which cannot be done using rules
  • Access technical interfaces and the IDIT™ framework
  • Make non-trivial changes in the process flow
  • Add new GUI components
  • Add new GUI widget behavior
  • Control the interface VO to IVO mapping
