Integration between IDIT™ and existing legacy applications is based on object-oriented methodologies that have proven themselves with our customers – tens of thousands of live insurance policies with hundreds of thousands of records have been successfully migrated from legacy systems into IDIT™.  Millions of policy records will be migrated into IDIT™ in the near future.
 
At IDIT, a proven method for loading and validating migrated data from the existing systems into IDIT™ is using our conversion SDK (Software Development Kit).  One of the major advantages in using this approach is the enforcement of data integrity and accuracy, and zero tolerance for data problems. IDIT has chosen not to populate one database table at a time but rather work on a ‘transaction at a time’ basis using the proven ‘object’ insertion methods available within the IDIT™ SDK package. By addressing issues of data cleansing, foreign keys and validations, rating is executed at key junction points.
 
Once an object-oriented approach to legacy database conversion & migration has been established, batch processes are run in a distributed fashion either on one machine or on many machines.
